New Year, New Beginnings

As a result of having no exams and heading overseas for a wedding, I was off for about 6 weeks this holiday break. I thought I would get bored, but as it turns out an obligation-free life forces one to be creative. I watched every episode of the Office and frequented the cinema more than I care to admit. I’ve become a pro at visual stimulation. I figure I’ll get as much screen-watching in while I can before the chaos begins again this week!

7 of us BU alumni (myself excluded obviously) met at my place in Kingston, a stopping ground between the Montrealers and Torontonians, for NYE.  Any BU reunion is a good one.  It was relaxing and frantic, but now it’s time to head back for my final semester of my undergrad. It’s pretty scary knowing this is the last stretch, but I think my uncertainty regarding 2009 will bring a lot of twists and hopefully any change is good change! At least that’s my mantra for now. When I’m unpacking the last 4 years of my life at my parents house in April crying like a child I may be singing a different tune. BUT onwards and upwards. In the spring I’ll be in one of a few places to do my internship for the Arts Administration program. Now that it has turned 2009, the pressure is on. If anyone has any ideas, feel free to shoot!

What’s Spinnin? Warren Zevon – my brother introduced me to him over the break and I can’t get enough. It might be the LP format we listened to it on, but its classic sound is uber catchy. Check out “Excitable Boy” and “Johnny Strikes Up the Band”.
