Happy Halloween, Gaiters!

Yay- we are finally there it is Halloween. I love fall and it’s such an exciting and magical time of the year. Everything is changing quite quickly, the leaves on the trees are changing colors and falling from the trees, there are cold and hot days and everyone starts to really like tea again. This is also the time of the end of midterms and the start of final assignments and project. It’s amazing that exams are only a month away! – I don’t know about you, but it feels like I have so much to do before then.

Halloween is one of my favorite times of year I like to be crafty, make my own costumes and get prepared for the big weekend. BU always makes holidays something to look forward to. Lots of fun and a sense of community outreach.

This year I have decided on making and being the paper bag princess from Robert munch’s book. I used a paper leaf bag to make the dress and some gold glitter and cardboard to make a crown. I am also going as the four seasons with my roommates; I am spring, my costume is just bright colors and a lot of flowers (this costume is a little last minute).

I am in my second year studying primary education and I have my placement in my elementary school on Halloween I cannot wait to see all the kiddies dressed up and excited for their nights. I will be teaching a lesson on poetry and have chosen to get the kids to focus on Halloween based poems to keep them excited throughout the whole day.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Halloween,
Kate ☺
