Next Steps and Deadlines

You’ve been admitted to #Ubishops! …Now what? We’ve compiled a list of all the important steps and deadlines our future Gaiters won’t want to miss!

  1. Congratulate yourself for being admitted to Bishop’s University! This is a great accomplishment! Well done! #UBishops #FutureGaiter
  1. Accept your offer of admission and pay the $350 tuition deposit online through your student portal called myBU, which can be found at www.ubishops.ca. We understand that these are difficult times, and that choosing a post-secondary option is stressful in the best of times. Therefore, exceptionally, we will be accepting confirmations until July 17, 2020.
  1. Check out our virtual campus tours and videos! Live virtual tours will be offered throughout the summer in English, French and Spanish. Our Recruitment team will also be offering 1-hour personalized private tours that you can register for from the comfort of your home! In addition to tours, we want to continue disseminating knowledge, sharing expertise, and better integrating our new students. To do so, we’ve created the COVID-EO video series, which will be released on our social media channels every Friday. Follow the series here!
  1. If you haven’t already, join the Bishop’s University Incoming Students 2020 Facebook group. Managed by our Recruitment and Admissions team, this Facebook group is meant to share information and answer your questions over the next few months, not to mention fun contests and giving away purple prizes!
  1. Follow #UBishops on social media to discover life at your new home away from home and get all our latest updates—we’re on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter (all @ubishops) and LinkedIn! We also have tons of great articles on blog.ubishops.ca
  1. Watch your email for information about course registration, which will be emailed in late July. We always suggest getting in touch with your program advisor or Department Chair to make sure you are on the right track, especially if you have advanced credit or want to pursue a double major, minor, concentration or any sort of program combination.
  2. You’ll be receiving information about Orientation Week and the start of classes in the upcoming weeks. Be sure to follow the SRC on Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date on all the latest student news and events!
  1. Pay your Fall semester tuition by September 30th. Check out the Money Matters segment of our website for more details.
  2. Start collecting everything PURPLE you can – #BleedPurple!
