And it is here. The cold winter has begun. With it comes lots of new things to do such as skiing, snowboarding, skating, and apres-skiing. None of which I can enjoy until after exams. Well to be fair exams are not the only thing holding me back. I did tear my knee at the beginning of the semester and it won’t be fully healed until after Christmas. However, come Winter semester it will be a different story. One of my roommates and myself have scheduled our classes to be on Tuesdays and Thursdays to allow us to take full advantage of our seasons passes to Jay Peak. All in all it is a pretty sweet resort with some great glades and a good selection of groomed runs. Just to get it straight I still prefer the mountains I grew up skiing on in the Rockies and on Vancouver Island. But with our proximity to the hill and the extremely cheap season tickets (this year I believe our ski club were selling the seasons pass for $230 or something) it is hard to beat.
