Hi, I’m Mary-Ellen Champagne from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. I’m in my first year of Pre-Clinical Psychology here at Bishop’s and I’m LOVING it!!!
I was attracted to Bishop’s University because it is surrounded by nature. Its historical buildings and beauty inspires the secret creative writer inside me. I’m looking forward to sending out my first book manuscript next year.
I love the fellowshipping at Bishop’s. There are so many clubs to join that match everything you need. I am currently in the Mature and Returning Students Association, and I recently joined the Student Representative Council. In my spare time, I enjoy crocheting blankets for animal shelters and making hats for newborn babies.
My favourite building on campus? They are all my favourite, but my top choice is the Library Learning Commons. I love getting lost in the stacks of books. I have found books from the early 1900s hidden within all the rows of modern books. I enjoy having a drink from the café while reading.
Bishop’s University is very accessible to people with disabilities. I was provided with an assistant to help me in all my classes. I even have exam assistance. It’s a great feeling to know that I am not alone here.
Bishop’s University is beautiful and continues to be beautiful because of the people and the experiences. If you choose to come here, I’m sure you will have an amazing time. I hope to see you at one of the open houses!
