Visiting Bishop’s University for the first time in October 2023 was such a memorable experience for me. When I arrived, I didn’t know exactly what to expect, I was visiting the campus with no idea what it looked like. The moment I stepped onto campus, I felt a sense of calm and excitement all at once. The autumn leaves were just starting to blanket the lawns, and the air felt fresh and energizing. There was a peacefulness to the campus that caught my attention immediately.
The tour of Bishop’s was one of the highlights of my visit. Walking around, I was able to see firsthand how beautiful the campus is. McGreer Hall stood out with its historic charm. It looked like something from a storybook with its brick walls and old-world feel. Right next to it, the Library Learning Commons offered a modern contrast, full of light and designed to be a space where students can really focus and collaborate. I also got a chance to look around the Johnson Science Building, which is bright and inviting, and clearly equipped for all kinds of research and innovation.
But what impressed me most wasn’t just the buildings or the landscaping. It was the atmosphere. Everywhere I went, students were studying on benches, laughing with friends, or just enjoying a walk between classes. It felt like a place where people actually wanted to spend time, not just a campus to race across on the way to lectures. The Student Union Building was buzzing with energy, and the Sports and Recreation Centre looked like the perfect spot to unwind or get active after class.

It didn’t take long for me to realize this was the right place for me. By the end of my visit. I decided to accept my offer to Bishop’s University. It felt like a decision that came naturally, simply because it fit. Bishop’s offered the right combination of a welcoming environment, inspiring spaces, and a unique blend of tradition with progress.
Looking back now, I’m so glad I took that tour in October 2023. My visit helped me see that choosing a university is about more than checking off boxes on a list, it’s about finding a place where you feel comfortable, supported, and inspired. That’s exactly what Bishop’s University gave me from my very first visit.
